Dr. Jeramiah Paylor

As a Colorado native and dentist near Leyden, Dr. Paylor always knew he wanted to work in the medical field. With his father-in-law serving as a dentist in Boulder, he discovered after graduating with his undergraduate degree that dentistry was a viable option. After shadowing him one day, he decided the connection dentists were able to make with patients is exactly what he desired, so he attended the University of Colorado where he received his dental doctorate.

After graduation, he spent time undergoing advanced training at the Scottsdale Center, SPEAR Education, and the Colorado Prosthodontic Society for continuing education in prosthodontics and implant restorations.

When he’s not in the office providing state-of-the-art dental care to patients in Leyden and its surrounding communities, you’ll find him spending time with his wife Stephanie and their young daughter, Eleanor. They also have a dog named Beatrice. Getting outside is something he loves, so you can expect to hear of his hiking adventures in the mountains or going fly-fishing with his daughter. Dr. Paylor also enjoys participating in ultra-trail marathons and devoting time to his and his wife’s extended families.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s natural to have questions about dentistry and the available treatments provided. It’s also common to wonder how to go about getting the best dental care in your area. Finding a dentist near Leyden doesn’t have to result in an overwhelming decision-making process. This is why we want to help you in your research by providing the answers to some of the most common questions asked by new and prospective patients. After reviewing the information below, we invite you to contact us to inquire about our services and how we can help you in your pursuit of better oral health.

How do I get emergency dental care?

The first thing you should do is call a dentist near you and inquire about a same-day appointment. A member of the dental staff will ask you various questions to better understand the severity of your problem. Once it is established whether you need immediate treatment, you can expect them to identify a time that works for you to see the dentist, and you will receive helpful at-home tips to better manage your pain in the meantime.

At West Arvada Family Dental, we offer same-day emergency appointments as well as evening and weekend availability.

How many dentists are in Leyden?

The estimated population of Leyden is 16,048. As a result, there are, on average, between 6 and 10 dentists in the area. Having a dentist near Leyden like Dr. Paylor can make it convenient for you and your loved ones to receive exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility that prides itself on personalization and comfort.

What makes our dental office so unique is that:

  • We offer comprehensive dental services with a majority of treatments performed in-house
  • We provide virtual consultations for individuals who need added convenience
  • We welcome dental insurance, provide flexible financing, and offer a dental membership plan for uninsured individuals
  • We are equipped with advanced dental technology to ensure an improved patient experience
  • We provide in-house, start-to-finish dental implant placement and restoration
  • We see patients of all ages, including children
  • We offer same-day emergency appointments and have weekend and evening availability

What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?

Outside the realm of dental insurance, many patients believe there is no way they could ever afford dental care. Yes, many of the treatments are costly, but if you do have a dental plan, it’s in your best interest to use it to your advantage. This means keeping your twice-yearly dental checkups and cleanings to minimize the risk of future problems.

However, if you’re uninsured, many dental offices offer alternative payment methods. At West Arvada Family Dental, your dentist near you is pleased to provide an in-house membership plan as well as access to flexible financing through CareCredit.

One thing you want to make sure of is to never avoid dental treatment even if you think you can’t afford it. This will guarantee that the problem will worsen over time, resulting in additional time and money being spent to fix your smile.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

All licensed and practicing dentists must attend an accredited undergraduate program before going on to complete a dental degree from an accredited dental school. Equipped with a DDS or DMD degree, they can then choose to pursue specialized fields of dentistry, some of which include pediatrics, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

Currently, the American Dental Association (ADA) recognizes 12 specialty fields that dentists can obtain advanced training and education in. When choosing any of these fields, dentists can expect an additional three years of schooling.

Also, to ensure that dentists are staying abreast of the latest changes and advancements in dentistry, they are required to complete a certain number of hours in continuing education each year.
